Marcie Xu is a part-time English teacher and freelance illustrator currently living in London. Raised in Beijing, China, Marcie has been traveling the world since a young age. She holds an undergraduate degree in Communication and Journalism and a postgraduate degree in Film from the University of Southampton. Marcie began her teaching career in 2021. Although she did not come from a traditional art background, she honed her illustration skills through self-teaching and is proficient in various mediums. She believes that love means nurturing continuous interest and aspires to introduce children to a creative world, helping them see the endless possibilities in their lives.
