The Cheese Man is afraid to go near anyone because he thinks they will eat him, so he runs away from everyone and everything. But when he escapes to the forest, an accident causes him to dissolve and disappear in the water - but his stinky scent leaves a trail!
As an illustrator from China, Shiying Ding is influenced by Chinese painting and her work is mainly inspired by nature. She often uses a combination of coloured pencil, ink and watercolour to express her pictorial narrative. She presents her childhood fantasies and reflections on her life through the overlay of different mediums and compositional narratives.
