A family of five raccoons live in a patch of wilderness at the edge of the Rowdy Rapids Waterpark parking lot. Envious of the adventures they can hear from outside the park, the raccoons begin a plot to experience The Rowdy Rapids. Sydney Doucett is Floridian Illustrator. During her undergraduate degree she studied Creative Writing and Studio Art as a double major at Florida State University. Through work experience as a professional nanny during her schooling, Sydney rediscovered the joy of children’s books. The medium allowed her creativity to be both playful and intentional. After completing her experience at Goldsmiths Children’s Book Illustration MA programme, Sydney hopes to continue making books that excite children, through both the artwork and storytelling.
