Old House, New House written and illustrated by Rosa Kelly

Old House lives in an empty valley and is dismayed when a new house is built on the neighbouring hill as he likes things “just the way they are”. As New House changes with the seasons, growing a vegetable patch, installing a swing and adding flags and decorations, Old House gets more and more annoyed. How will Old House cope when his peaceful valley is disrupted by this new arrival?

Rosa Kelly is a London-based illustrator who grew up in the East of England. Before coming to Goldsmiths, she studied Fine Art (BA) at Chelsea College of Art. Part of her undergraduate degree included an Erasmus exchange to Bologna, where she studied print-making and read a lot of children's books in Italian while trying to improve her language ability. She enjoys using a lot of detail to create rich imaginary worlds with surprising narratives at their heart.
